The Porthyfelin Community Partnership was established in 2003 under the Welsh Assembly Government's Communities First Programme, which aims at reducing economic and social deprivation in over 140 areas in Wales.
The Partnership aims to work with the residents to cover the main themes of Communities First, these include crime & community safety, the environment, health & wellbeing and education & training.
For information about the work we are currently involved in please visit the PROJECTS page.
The Partnership is made up of local residents, local businesses, agencies (such as the Citizens Advice Bureau) and statutory bodies (such as the Police).
The Partnership holds meetings every 6-8 weeks and anyone from the community is entitled to come and learn about the work of the Partnership.
The Partnership relies on the good work of volunteers and residents to develop the Programme.
We are always on the look out for new volunteers and project ideas. You can volunteer for the Partnership regardless of age and ability.
